Indianapolis, IN – August 12th, 2013: The law office of CRAIG, KELLEY & FAULTLESS LLC will be giving away kids’ bike helmets and demonstrating Texting and Driving Simulators on August 24th from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the New Augusta Public Academy North, 6450 Rodebaugh Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268
The helmet giveaway is in conjunction with the Safety Festival Community Day that is being hosted by both the Pike Township Fire Department and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Members of the Craig, Kelley & Faultless LLC staff will be fitting and passing out 350 free bike helmets on a first come first serve basis to anyone 18-years-old and younger. There will also be virtual driver simulators set up at the Craig, Kelley & Faultless LLC booth to demonstrate firsthand the dangers of distracted driving, in particular, texting while driving.
“We are very excited to be involved again this year in the Safety Festival Community day,” said David W. Craig, a partner at Craig, Kelley & Faultless LLC. “Our goal at this event is to promote bike safety as well as educate people about how dangerous it is to drive while distracted.”
A bike accident, while not wearing a helmet, can cause brain injuries that may result in learning disabilities, memory problems, and can potentially be fatal. And, this year alone, there have been over 600,000 car accidents due to distracted driving in the U.S. This number is anticipated to increase as technology becomes more and more commonplace in our everyday lives.
