David Craig – Host: Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of After the Crash, the podcast. Today, we have a special guest, and we’re very fortunate to get this guest, because this time of year he’s very, very busy. But today, he agreed to be on this episode of After the Crash. Santa, welcome to the podcast.
Santa Claus: Welcome, David. I’m so, so glad to be here to take a moment to talk about some important stuff. Oh my goodness.
David Craig – Host: Now, Santa, I know you’re busy this time of year, and I won’t take up much of your time. But I know this episode is geared towards people who have been in crashes and are looking for advice, or anything to help prevent crashes. And Lord knows you’ve been flying so long, that, if there’s anybody that knows how to avoid a crash, it’s got to be Santa Claus.
Santa Claus: Absolutely.
David Craig – Host: On your sleigh, do you have any type of crash avoidance equipment?
Santa Claus: Yes, yes. Because when you’re going to over 200 countries, and 500 million homes, it’s quick and you have to be careful. So, you have to have the things on the sleigh to guide me and to keep me and the reindeer safe, because we don’t want crashes. That’s for sure. Not good.
David Craig – Host: And the fact is, I know that there’s over 2.5 billion kids in this world. And in order to get there, you’ve got to go like 1800 miles per second, so you are going extremely fast. How do you avoid drones? And we hear about drones all the time now. How do you avoiding those drones, and the planes, and everybody else?
Santa Claus: We have to look at the radar. I have elves telling me where to go, where to fly, what level, so that I can get in, get out, and then go on to the next country. So yes, I have all of the latest technology that helps me get from point A to point B and finish overnight while everyone’s sleeping. Busy, busy, busy.
David Craig – Host: I know you’ve got nine reindeer, counting Rudolph. You’ve got Dasher, and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen.
Santa Claus: Yes.
David Craig – Host: Do you have a favorite?
Santa Claus: I get asked that question a lot, David, and I hate to single them out, but Rudolph is pretty stellar. Not going to lie. Rudolph lights the way with that nose. Oh, and he’s kind of like one of those lights on the back end or the front of an 18-wheeler so you can see it coming. Well, that’s what Rudolph is to me. But I mean, Rudolph and I, we hang out from time to time. We’re all like family. Oh, it’s fun times, fun times.
David Craig – Host: Now, I saw on another channel that you had a problem recently, that your sleigh got towed.
Santa Claus: Oh my goodness. My sleigh got towed. There’s some conversation about whether I was in a no-parking zone. I say that I wasn’t, but they towed my sleigh, and I’m working to get it back. Because as you know, Christmas is coming, and we don’t have time to waste. I need my sleigh.
David Craig – Host: Now Santa, I’m going to let you go, but is there anything else you want to tell the people out there that are watching this?
Santa Claus: Well, I want everyone to be safe. When you’re on the road traveling this holiday season, make sure that you have fresh washers, and washer fluid for your windows. Make sure your tires have been checked. Make sure that you’re paying attention, and not looking at your phones, and looking out for those folks delivering all of the goodies, the food, the folks on the road. We need all of you to be safe so you make it into the new year. So, please be careful, be safe, and most of all, pay attention when you’re on the road. Because Mrs. Claus, she has to work the GPS sometimes so that I’m not a distracted driver, David. We don’t want that. But most of all, I want everyone to have a happy, and merry, and joyful Christmas. Enjoy the season.
David Craig – Host: Thank you, Santa. Merry Christmas to everybody.
Santa Claus: You’re welcome. Merry Christmas everybody.
